Derek Drake, Candy Man

VCS @ Art Antiques London 2015

We are delighted to be part taking part in one of London’s most exciting and glamorous art fairs.  Art Antiques London next to the Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens, runs from Thursday 11 June (the preview day, which is by invitation only) to Thursday 18th June.  Do come and see us on Stand C10.

If you would like a free ticket please contact us. We are showing an eclectic and unusual group of Modern British and Contemporary Art ranging from a handsome and iconic Keith Vaughan pastel, a vibrant Alan Davie from the 1960s, a very colourful Terry Frost painting which has never been on the market and also two large and life-affirming paintings by Derek Drake, a contemporary South African artist.

We are also exhibiting a selection of  handcoloured lithographs from In the Bottom of my Garden by Andy Warhol. Part of the complete set of 20, these witty, sexy pictures of putti prancing and frolicking under flower-heads date from 1956 before Warhol became famous as a leading exponent of American Pop Art.  These charming images have the added bonus of having an unusual amount of handcolouring in vibrant colours, the set is signed and it has the all-important rubber stamp from the Andy Warhol Authentication Board.
